Mother's Day
I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Tami came to see me and brought me a lovely bouquet of flowers and Todd helped me prepare dinner. I had Mom and Dad over for pork chops on the grill with baked potatoes, green beans, coleslaw and strawberry pie for dessert! After we ate Mom, Tami and I took a ride to look for flowers at a couple local greenhouses and stopped in Scenery Hill to visit Brad's niece Annie's candle shop.

WV State Police Graduation 60th Cadet Class
Justin's Dad Vic was the 33rd Class to Graduate from the WV State Police Academy
This was a PROUD day for Dad.
Justin graduated from the WV State Police Academy last Friday, April 16th. We all attended the event and what an honor just to be there. We didn't get any good pictures of the actual graduation inside because of how dark it was and where we were sitting but Justin's Mom had hired a videographer so we had that part covered. It was similar to any other graduations. There were 36 cadets that graduated that day out of the 400 applicants that applied in the beginning of the process. They had a few speakers but the governor was not able to attend because of other obligations with the recent mine disaster in WV. We all gathered afterward at the academy campus to watch the new graduates do their traditional march. Justin showed us around and then we all went to lunch. It was great to be a part of the experience and we are very proud of our future son-in-law, Trooper Wood!
